Assumptions & limitations

This application is provided solely as an informational, educational, and preliminary planning aid. All calculations, classifications, illustrations, utilization percentages, and advisory results are mathematical estimates derived from dimensions, support locations, loads, ratings, published reference data, assumptions, and other information entered or selected by the user. Actual field conditions may differ materially from the modeled conditions. No representation, warranty, certification, approval, or guarantee, express or implied, is made regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, structural adequacy, safety, code compliance, or fitness for any particular purpose of any calculation, result, classification, display, or information produced by this application.

This application does not constitute engineering services, structural design, professional advice, inspection, testing, approval, certification, or a determination that any truss, pipe, channel, support point, structure, component, connection, or installation is suitable for loading, operation, suspension, ground support, or use. It is not a substitute for manufacturer instructions and limitations, engineered drawings, venue requirements, site-specific evaluation, applicable laws, codes or standards, competent inspection, or review by an appropriately qualified or licensed professional where required.

Actual structural and rigging performance may be affected by conditions that are not modeled, are simplified, or are outside the scope of this application, including but not limited to member condition and damage, connection and splice capacity, chord/web/local effects, panel-point requirements, torsion, eccentric or off-axis loading, lateral loading, support settlement or flexibility, anchorage, uplift restraint, hardware orientation, dynamic/impact/transient loads, movement, vibration, load distribution, installation tolerances, deterioration, environmental conditions, wind, manufacturer restrictions, repetitive-use requirements, and changes occurring after the analysis.

This version analyzes one horizontal member under vertical static loading. Ground-support tower/base design, tower compression and stability, bridles, roof/grid systems, curved truss, corner blocks, multi-axis loading, connection engineering, seismic effects, and other system-level structural behavior are outside its scope unless specifically identified otherwise in a result.

Published-table comparisons are direct only when the modeled case corresponds to an available source configuration. Interpolated and calculated-from-published-data results use structural mechanics to evaluate conditions between published cases. Cantilever, continuous-span, extrapolated, and other outside-published-configuration results may still provide a numerical planning estimate when a reasonable mathematical basis exists, but those values are not manufacturer-rated capacities and may omit limit states not represented by the source data.

Any favorable, positive, green, yellow, orange, red, gray, or otherwise color-coded result indicates only the mathematical outcome of the specific modeled assumptions and entered conditions. No result should be interpreted as a representation or guarantee that a member, support, structure, or installation is safe, code compliant, engineered, approved, or suitable for a particular application. The user remains solely responsible for verifying all inputs, assumptions, field conditions, governing requirements, component ratings, support-point limitations, manufacturer requirements, and the applicability of the results, and for obtaining appropriate professional review before relying on this application for installation, operation, suspension, ground support, or life-safety decisions.

Use of this application and reliance on any result or information produced by it are at the user’s own risk.
